Jean Fournier is a clerk in a small bank who leads a rather boring life. When he goes to a casino for the first time in his life and wins big, his life is changed forever. For his next vacation, he plans a trip to Nizza. Why? Why, to play at the casino there, of course. That leads him into a fight with his father, who is anti-gambling and feels this is far from a smart move for someone planning a career in banking. Nevertheless, the young man drives for Nizza and gets to know an attractive woman there, Jackie. Jackie's a confirmed gambler, and it was this love of gambling which caused her first marriage to fall apart. Now, Jean thinks he's found the perfect mate to share the excitement of gaming.

Jean Fournier ist ein kleiner Bankangestellter, der ein langweiliges Leben führt. Als er erstmals in einem Casino ist und eine größere Summe gewinnt, ändert sich sein Leben. Für seinen nächsten Urlaub plant er eine Reise nach Nizza, um dort das Spielcasino zu besuchen. Darüber kommt es zum Streit mit seinem Vater, der gegen das Glücksspiel ist und es als nicht passend für Jeans Beruf als Bankkaufmann ansieht. Er fährt dennoch nach Nizza und lernt dort die attraktive Jackie kennen. Jackie ist spielsüchtig und ihre erste Ehe ist an dieser Spielsucht gescheitert. Jean hat nun die richtige Partnerin für das aufregende Spiel gefunden.
