A series of short films and featurettes from and about the Third Reich compiled into a collection:

1. AUS DER TIEFE EMPOR- 1934

Put out by the Department of Propaganda for the NSDAP, this film provides a short background to the situation in Germany during the years of crisis and how the ascent to power by the Nazis led to the economic recovery of the Reich (actually begun in Weimar Germany, but the Nazis took credit for it).

GERMAN INTERTITLES WITH OPTIONAL ENGLISH SUBTITLES. MUSICAL BACKGROUND (Shostakovich). APPROXIMATELY 18 MINUTES.

2. OCCUPIED PARIS - 1941

Private films taken in occupied Paris one year after occupation.

3. BERLIN AROUND THE TURN OF THE 20th CENTURY

A series of very short scenes put together in the 1930s about "Berlin as It Once Was" at the end of the 1890s and into the beginning of the 20th Century.

4. DAILY LIFE IN THE REICHSARBEITSDIENST

This film shows the activities, training and exercise regimens of the RAD, who were very prominent in public works' projects in the early years of the Reich; later to become part of the war effort in the frontlines.

5. FRANCONIA IN THE 1930s

Franken in southern Germany as it looked like during the Third Reich.

6. AUFRUF AN DAS DEUTSCHE VOLK

Film from the early days of the regime with party faithful sitting through one of Hitler's rants.

7. BERLIN PREPARES FOR THE OLYMPIC GAMES - 1936

Private films from the city shortly before a bunch of guests dropped in to play sports.

8. BERLIN, THE REICHSHAUPTSTADT - 1936

Wonderful color film about the capital of Germany made with the tourist in mind.

9. THE 3rd REGIMENT GOES OUT ON MANEUVERS - 1938

Private military films.
