Based on the real King Pedro I, better known as Pedro the Cruel for the atrocities committed in his name against the towns he conquered, the film tells of how he wishes to marry the Princess of Bourbon, so as to consolidate his kingdom. Unfortunately, his brother, Enruque de Trastamara, who has his eyes on Pedro's throne, decides to kidnap his future bride. The result will be bloodshed and competition for the kingdom and the cruel suffering of the innocent people.
