Der Ingenieur Frank Gebhard hat einen neuartigen Schiffsantrieb konstruiert. Die Spione Sucharow und Keller versuchen, die Konstruktionspläne dafür in ihre Hände zu bekommen. Sie bedienen sich dabei der Hilfe der ahnungslosen Kabarettsängerin Dora Green, die eine Wohnung über der Gebhards bezieht und den "Salon Dora Green" eröffnet, in dem Gebhard bald regelmäßig verkehrt. Aber schließlich findet Dora die Wahrheit über Sucharow und Keller heraus und durchkreuzt die Pläne der Spione.

The engineer Frank Gebhard has designed a new form of propulsion for ships. The spies Sucharow and Keller attempt to steal the plans for its construction. To do so, they enlist the help of an unsuspecting cabaret singer, Dora Green, who lives in an apartment above Gebhard's and opens the "Salon Dora Green", which Gebhard is soon regularly visiting. But Dora eventually finds out what the spies are up to and thwarts their plans.
