The cruiser “Frauenlob” arrives in Istanbul and the general consul throws a party. A singer, in whom he is in love, causes an officer on the cruiser to go nuts over her and he wants to propose to her. When she notices that her daughter is in love with the young lieutenant, she steps aside and accepts the marriage proposal of the general consul instead.

Der Kreuzer "Frauenlob" kommt nach Konstantinopel, und der Generalkonsul gibt ein großes Fest. Eine Sängerin, in die er verliebt ist, entflammt allerdings das Herz eines Offiziers des Kreuzers, der sich mit ihr verloben will. Als sie erkennt, dass ihre Tochter ebenfalls in den jungen Oberleutnant verliebt ist, verzichtet sie auf ihn und verlobt sich stattdessen mit dem Generalkonsul.
