The couple Werner and Renee Roettlinck attend a boisterous carnival, but their joy has its limits: Werner confesses to his wife, that the tickets were sent to him anonymously and that's made him nervous. While Renee watches the bustle with skepticism, Werner abandons himself to the adventure and suddenly, the artist Pixi is standing before him. She's the one, who sent them the tickets. While the two have fun, Renee gets to konw Prince von Dernburg-Karlstadt, whom she quickly learnes to like. When she sees, that her husband has left the ball with Pixi, she urges the prince to take her away and they go to his hotel room; champagne and snacks are already waiting.

Das Ehepaar Werner und Renée Roettlinck besucht ein ausgelassenes Karnevalsfest, doch ihre Fröhlichkeit hält sich noch in Grenzen. Da gesteht Werner seiner Frau, dass ihm die Eintrittskarten anonym zugeschickt wurden und er leicht nervös ist. Während Renée dem Treiben weiterhin mit Skepsis gegenüber steht, packt Werner die Lust auf ein Abenteuer, das plötzlich in Gestalt der Künstlerin Pixi vor ihm steht, denn von ihr stammen die Karten. Während die beiden sich vergnügen, lernt Renée den Fürst von Dernburg-Karlstadt kennen, der ihr schnell sympathisch ist. Als sie sieht, dass ihr Mann mit Pixi den Ball verlässt, drängt auch sie zum Aufbruch und folgt ihrem Verehrer auf sein Hotelzimmer, ein Imbiss und Champagner stehen schon bereit.
