Dick, reifer und ernster geworden, ist Oma Jantzens Stütze. Die unverändert verspielte und sorglose Dalli ist glücklich, wenn sie bei den Ponys auf der Koppel sein kann. Oma Jantzen aber ist verzweifelt, die Schulden sind ihr über den Kopf gewachsen, der Immenhof ist nicht mehr zu halten. Hilflos müssen sie und Jochen von Roth, in dessen Haus die Familie eine zuflucht gefunden hat, mit ansehen, wie der Gerichtsvollzieher den geliebten Immenhof amtlich versiegelt. In vier Wochen soll die Versteigerung des Hofes stattfinden. Überraschend kommen Ethelbert und sein Freund Ralf zu Besuch. Während die jungen Leute sorglose Tage verleben, versucht Jochen von Roth vergeblich, Geld aufzutreiben.

Dick, more mature and serious, is Grandma Jantzen’s rock of Gibraltar.  The same playful and carefree Dalli is happy, whenever she can spend time with her ponies in their paddock.  But Grandma Jantzen is still desperate.  In spite of a happy ending two years earlier in Die Madels vom Immenhof, the old broad just can’t seem to balance a checkbook and the estate’s debts are once more out of control.  Immenhof is two steps away from insolvency.  Helpless, she and Jochen von Roth, in whose house the family has found refuge, look on, as the court bailiff seals the estate for eventual auctioning off.  And it is in four weeks, that said court auction will take place.  Ethelbert and his friend Ralf come to the estate on an unexpected visit.  While the young people have fun and sponge off debt-ridden granny, Jochen von Roth tries in vain to raise money.  HINT:  start by asking the parents of rich and spoiled Ethelbert and his buddy Ralf to fork over some dough for their upkeep on the farm!
