Add to wishlist DetailsExisting reviews A lady walks into a bank to withdraw money to buy a painting from a junk dealer. However, the bank manager refuses to give her the money. Spurred on by the prospect of a glamorous life similar to that of the lady he adores, the bank teller sneaks off with a large amount of money to help the lady. But she laughingly declines his offer of money – she can still afford the painting (a nude Venus painted in the style of Expressionism). Meanwhile, his theft is discovered at the bank. The cashier goes home, where he meets his sad family. Aware of the danger of discovery, he flees to "the streets"; then the bank director and the police turned up in vain at the cashier's house. An animated designed subheading of a telegraph pole announces: "Cashier on the run". DVD-R has German intertitles with switchable English subtitles. Approx. 72 mins.
