The young doctor Manfred Loberg has come to Bunzendorf with his friend, the architect Karl Mohr, to take over the practice of his uncle, which had been in the meantime run by the uncle's factotum, Simon Hummel. At first, the patients stay away. But when Manfred is called upon to attend to a peasant, who broke her arm, she tells him, that there's a special spring water which cures all disease. Manfred looks for this spring and determines that it's loaded with radium. So, along with his friend, he turns Bunzendorf into a spa town. He becomes a successful resort-physician and he and Karl find their women for life.

Der junge Arzt Manfred Loberg kommt mit seinem Freund, dem Architekten Karl Mohr, nach Bunzendorf, um dort die Praxis seines Onkels zu übernehmen, die inzwischen von dessen Faktotum, Simon Hummel, weitergeführt wurde. Zunächst bleiben die Patienten aus. Aber als Manfred zu einer Bäuerin gerufen wird, die sich den Arm gebrochen hat, erzählt sie ihm, dass sie alle Krankheiten mit einem besonderen Quellwasser heile. Manfred untersucht das Wasser und stellt fest, dass es radiumhaltig ist. So gelingt es ihm gemeinsam mit seinen Freunden, Bunzendorf zu einem Kurort zu machen. Er wird ein erfolgreicher Kurarzt, und Manfred und Karl finden auch die Frauen fürs Leben.
