In 1957, two former French resistance fighters, Marie-Octobre and François Renaud-Picart, learn by chance that their former network leader had been killed by the Gestapo following treason by one of the members of their own network. They decide to identify this traitor. To this end, the two organize a dinner on the very site where the tragedy took place, to which all their former resistance comrades are invited. The stated goal is to force the traitor, once unmasked, to commit suicide after signing his confession.

En 1957,deux anciens résistants français, Marie-Octobre et François Renaud-Picart, apprennent par hasard que leur ancien chef de réseau avait été tué en 1944 par la Gestapo à la suite de la trahison de l'un des membres de leur propre réseau. Ils décident d’identifier ce traître. À cette fin, les deux organisent un dîner sur les lieux mêmes où s’était déroulé le drame, auquel sont conviés tous leurs anciens camarades résistants. Le but avoué est de contraindre le traître, une fois démasqué, à se suicider après avoir signé ses aveux.
