Der vielbeschäftigte Architekt Dr. Alfred Kramer führt mit seiner Frau Annette eine glückliche junge Ehe. Da er es sich leisten kann, überrascht er seine Frau oft mit kleinen Geschenken. Eines Tages lernt Alfred durch Zufall die schöne, bekannte Sängerin Sylvia Bernhardt kennen. Als sie erfährt, daß er Architekt ist, spricht sie mit ihm über ihre Pläne, ein Landhaus mit zehn Zimmern, Hausbar und Swimmingpool bauen zu lassen. Alfred zeigt sich von der eleganten Dame sehr beeindruckt und merkt nicht, daß sie ihn geschickt einzuwickeln versucht. Annette ist noch völlig arglos ihrem Mann gegenüber, der bereits kein reines Gewissen mehr hat. Sie bekommt einen wunderschönen Nerzpelz, den eigentlich Sylvia haben wollte. Wütend verlangt Sylvia von Alfred, daß er sie auf das große Wohltätigkeitsfest begleitet. Seiner Frau sagt er, er gehe zu einem Herrenabend. Auf dem Fest wird Sylvia mit ihrem Begleiter fotografiert.  

The busy architect Dr. Alfred Kramer is happily married to his wife Annette.  Whenever he's able to, he surprises his wife often with little gifts.  One day, Alfred gets to know the beautiful singer Sylvia Bernhardt by chance.  When she finds out, that he's an architect, she discusses her plans with him to build a country estate with ten rooms, a home bar and swimming pool.  Alfred is impressed by the elegant lady and doesn't notice, she's trying very cleverly to snag him.  Annette is completely innocent where her man is concerned even though he no longer has a clear conscience.  She receives a beautiful mink coat, which Sylvia wishes to have.  She angrily demands, that Alfred accompany her to a grand fete.  He tells his wife, that he's going out to a stag party.   But then he's photographed at the party as Sylvia's companion.
