"Back to nature!"  That's the motto of newspaper archivist Gottlieb Singer.  He's been looking forward to hiking in the Black Forest all year.  But his hopes of finding peace and solitude begin to fade when 16 year old Kiki attaches herself to him.  The spoiled city-girl has gotten it into her head to get to know the joys of the carefree life of wandering and now she won't leave Gottlieb's side for a minute.  Then, two student apprentices decide to join the duo and Kiki's hormones go into overdrive.  Then, photos of this little group of wanderers appear in a magazine and all hell breaks loose:  apparently, Kiki was supposed to have shown up at her boarding school a long time ago.  Now, big trouble is brewing for this troop of migrating birds.

“Zurück zur Natur” heißt das Motto des Zeitungsarchivars Gottlieb Sänger. Das ganze Jahr hat er sich auf das Wandern im Schwarzwald gefreut. Seine Hoffnung auf Ruhe und Einsamkeit verfliegt jedoch, als sich die 16-jährige Kiki an seine Fersen heftet. Das verwöhnte Stadtkind hat es sich in den Kopf gesetzt, die Freuden des ungebundenen Wanderlebens kennen zu lernen. Ab jetzt weicht sie Gottlieb nicht mehr von der Seite. Bald gesellen sich auch noch zwei Werkstudenten zu dem Duo und bringen Kikis Gefühlsleben tüchtig durcheinander. Doch dann tauchen Fotos der kleinen Gesellschaft in einer Illustrierten auf: Es stellt sich heraus, dass Kiki eigentlich längst in ihrem Pensionat sein müsste. Großer Ärger braut sich über den Wandervögeln zusammen.
