Erika Berghoff is a stewardess.  During a stopover in Zurich, she spends a few hours with the passenger Dr. Bordam, in whom she falls in love.  Bordam is a prince traveling incognito, who quickly forgets about the stewardess, especially as he’s soon to announce his engagement with Princess Irina.  When he finds out that Erika is sick, however, he visits her immediately.  They spend some wonderful days together in Italy and from their small love something big blossoms.  When Erika finds out who he really is, she leaves him.

Erika Berghoff ist Stewardess. Bei einer Zwischenlandung in Zürich verbringt sie einige Stunden mit dem Passagier Dr. Bordam, in den sie sich verliebt. Bordam ist ein inkognito reisender Prinz, der die Stewardess bald vergessen hat, zumal er in Kürze seine Verlobung mit Prinzessin Irina bekannt geben wird. Als er aber erfährt, dass Erika krank ist, besucht er sie sofort. Sie verbringen herrliche Tage in Italien, und aus ihrer kleinen Liebe wird die große. Als Erika aber erfährt, wer Bordam wirklich ist, verlässt sie ihn.
