Ein leider eher lebensuntüchtiger Tenor, dem dummerweise stets die Stimme versagt, wenn er wen in eine Zitrone beißen sieht - es ist schon toll, wo plötzlich überall diese vermaledeiten Südfrüchte auftauchen -, erhält die Chance seines Lebens: Er soll in einem Film singen - allerdings nur als Synchronstimme für einen anderen Tenor, dessen Stimme der seinen täuschend ähnelt und der sich aus Versehen die Stimmbänder verätzt hat. Natürlich dürfte nicht herauskommen, dass der Weltstar gar nicht selber singt, natürlich tuts das aber, natürlich wird alles gut. Und zwar wirklich alles: Er wird nicht nur Ruhm und Ehr gewinnen, sondern auch die Frau seines Herzens. 

A rather shy tenor, whose voice unfortunately breaks, whenever he sees someone bite into a lemon --- he's perfectly find around tropical fruit --- gets the chance of a lifetime:  He's supposed to sing in a movie; but he'll only be doing voiceover for another tenor with a very similar voice, who injured his vocal cords.  Of course, no one is to know the world-famous tenor isn't the one singing in the film; but it will be found out nonetheless and everything will turn out fine.  And by that, we really mean 'everything':  Not only does the formerly shy tenor earn fame and honor, but also the woman of his heart!
