Benito Freire suffers from epileptic attacks. He works as a peddlar, going from town to town, in an environment of superstition and underdevelopment. A rumor starts in the region that Benito is a werewolf. Benito starts to begin believing the stories about him and in the nights when there is a full moon, tracks down residents in the forest, where he kills them.

Benito Freire sufre ataques de epilepsia. Trabaja como buhonero, de pueblo en pueblo, en un ambiente supersticioso y subdesarrollado. En la comarca comienza a correr el rumor de que Benito es un hombre lobo. Benito termina creyéndose las historias que cuentan sobre él y, en las noches de luna llena, acompaña a los aldeanos a través del bosque, donde acaba asesinándolos.
