Otto Zander is a perfectionist procuring agent for a large company, who takes the rules so seriously, that even the one who wrote the rules would get in trouble with him! His boss is another matter: he's turned the office into his own little love nest. When the company chiefs from New York show up to find out what's been going on, the boss goes looking for a scapegoat ... and believes he's found one in Otto.

Otto Zander ist ein übergenauer Prokurist einer großen Firma, der es mit den Vorschriften mehr als genau nimmt. Ganz im Gegensatz zu seinem Chef, der in der Firma ein "Liebesnest" eingerichtet hat. Als sich eine Kontrolle der New Yorker Zentrale ankündigt, sucht der Chef einen Sündebock, und glaubt, diesen in Otto auch schnell gefunden zu haben.
