Privatdetektiv Fridolin Specht (Hans Moser) befindet sich gerade im Urlaub, als ihn die Nachricht von einem Lotteriegewinn erreicht. Ganze 10.000 Mark sollen es sein! Sogleich setzt sich seine Sekretärin in den Zug, um den Gewinn zu überbringen. Doch als Fridolin den vermeintlichen Geldkoffer öffnet, ist das Geld verschwunden! Ein mysteriöser Vorgang, der Fridolin zum Detektiv in eigener Sache werden läßt.

Private detective Fridolin Specht (Hans Moser) is on vacation, when he hears he’s won 10,000 Marks in a lottery drawing!  His secretary immediately boards a train to take his winnings to him.  But when Fridolin opens the alleged suitcase full of money, he finds that it’s all disappeared!  A real mystery, for which Fridolin must use all his detective skills to solve.
