Ihr Herz gehört aber dem Motorenfabrikanten Van den Born, der sie am liebsten unter einen Glassturz stellen würde wie seine Statuette der Fanny Elßler. Als die Liebe des Industriellen Gegenstand einer werksinternen Intrige wird, versetzt Hochbaum die Viennoiserie mit brütender Melodramatik. Schon vorher gehören zum Wien dieses Films nicht nur Prater und Steffl, Hans Moser und Rudolf Carl, sondern auch hektisch belebte Großunternehmensflure.

One admirer after another arrives in Wiener Vorstadt to pay their respects to the attractive music student Hannerl. But her heart belongs to the carmaker Van den Born, who would prefer to put her under a glass globe like his statue of Fanny Elssler. When this love affair becomes the object of intrigue, the melodrama only steps up a notch.
