Der Wunschtraum des Monteurs Heinrich Berger ist es, einmal der Herr König, der Generaldirektor der Autowerke, sein zu können, und er wird vom Hauptaktionär tätsächlich eines Tages als Leiter des Unternehmens eingesetzt. Mit seiner Erfindung, einem neuen Automotor, beseitigt er finanzielle Schwierigkeiten der Firma. Am Ende heiratet er die Sekretärin des Herrn König. 

It is the dream of the fitter Heinrich Berger to be lord king … the general director of the auto plant where he works; and, in fact, he is put into that very position one day by the main shareholders of the company.  With his invention of a new car engine, he manages to remove all the firm’s financial difficulties.  In the end, the Lord King marries his secretary.
