Eine Liebes- und Eifersuchtsgeschichte liefert Regisseur und Hauptdarsteller Luis Trenker den Rahmen für einen Bergsteigerfilm um die Bezwingung des Monte Miracolo. Die Naivität der Handlung und das alpinistische Pathos werden durch die von der Kamera eindrucksvoll erschlossene Südtiroler Berglandschaft fast aufgewogen. Der Film ist eine um mehrere Szenen erweiterte Neufassung des Films „Der verrufene Berg“ von 1943.  

Director and main star Luis Trenker provides us with yet another mountain-climbing film, this time with love and jealousy providing the framework of the story of the conquest of Monte Miracolo.  The naivete of the plot and the Alpine pathos is, as always, outweighed by the incredibly beautiful shots of the southern Tirolean mountains.  Basically, this film is a recast of  “Der verrrufene Berg” from 1943, just with more scenes thrown in.

DVD-R IS IN GERMAN WITH NO SUBTITLES.
