Vid en skjutövning förlorar den värnpliktige Bengt synen. Under den första tiden får han bo hos släktingar ute på landet där den unga Ingrid arbetar som hembiträde. Hon förälskar sig i honom men han är upptagen av sin egen bitterhet. Deras vägar skiljs för lång tid tills de en dag åter möts. 

During gunnery practice, the talented musician Bengt loses his eyesight.  As time goes by, Bengt becomes increasingly bitter about his blindness.  He eventually develops a relationship with Ingrid, a lower-class girl employed as a servant in the home of Bengt's parents.  She falls deeply in love with Bengt; but will Bengt be able to overcome his disappointment in life and notice the girl's devotion to him?

DVD-R is in Swedish with switchable English and Spanish subtitles.  Approx. 84 mins.  Excellent quality.
