Stefan Staudacher, der Sohn des Fischer-Bartl vom Heiligensee, kehrt nach Jahren der Ausbildung auf der Landwirtschaftsschule nach Velden zurück. Hier wird er, dem letzten Wunsch des verstorbenen Baron von Velden gemäß, als Gutsinspektor eingestellt. Dem bisherige Verwalter Wolfgang von Döring, einem Neffen der Baronin, passt das gar nicht, hat er das Gut doch unbemerkt an den Rand des Ruins getrieben. Er hat immer wieder Gelder abgezweigt, wird er doch vom zwielichtigen Gilchert erpresst. Mit ihm hatte er früher eine Spielbank, die schließlich aufflog und Gilchert für 14 Monate ins Gefängnis brachte, während Wolfgang mit den Geldern untertauchen konnte. Nun fordert Gilchert seinen Anteil und droht andernfalls, Wolfgangs Vergangenheit öffentlich zu machen.

Stefan Staudacher, the son of the fisherman Bartl vom Heiligensee, returns to Velden after studying at agricultural school.  In accordance with the last wish of the dying Baron von Velden, he is hired as an estate inspector.  This doesn’t exactly thrill the former inspector, Wolfgang von Doering, the baroness’ nephew, who, unnoticed, managed to drive the estate to the brink of ruin.  He repeatedly embezzled money from the estate and is now being blackmailed by the dubious Gilchert.  Von Doering used to run a casino with the blackmailer, which eventually blew up in their faces and cost Gilchert 14 months in jail.  That didn’t stop Wolfgang from taking the proceeds from the casino and laying low till everything blew over (i.e., till Gilchert finished his jail sentence).  Now Gilchert is demanding his “fair” share and is threatening to make public Wolfie’s past, if he doesn’t cough up the dough.

DVD-R IS IN GERMAN WITH NO SUBTITLES.  APPROX. 82 MINS.  VERY GOOD FILM QUALITY WITH STRONG PIXELLIZATION AND UNSHARPNESS  (especially when the subject matter isn't close up)
